Common Mistakes When Writing a Reflective Essay

Posted on October 26, 2020 by Essay

It is a common mistake when writing a reflective essay to first start with the conclusion. When a person finishes an essay, they want to get off of it and move on to the next one.

However, when doing a reflective essay, there are many different elements to cover. This can sometimes be hard to do if you have not done this type of writing before. Here is a common mistake that is made by many writers. They tend to use the conclusion too much.

The conclusion is a common mistake when doing a reflective essay. If a writer does not finish their essay on a high note, they will end up giving out their opinion in the conclusion. This is something that should be avoided because this will make the reader feel as though they are reading a non-academic article.

When a writer does not do their reflective essay on a high note, they will give out their opinion to the reader at the very end of the essay. This will make the reader feel as if they have finished reading an article.

When a writer ends with a reflective essay on a high note, it will not give the reader’s attention away that they have just finished reading. Therefore, they will not care how many pages they read it on. This will make the reader feel like they were only reading an article, not having to think about the content of the essay.

This is also another common mistake when writing a reflective essay. If a writer ends their essay on a high note, it will cause the reader to read on to find out more about the topic of the essay.

The last common mistake when writing a reflective essay is to read on and then not get off of the topic. They may feel as if they have read enough on a topic, but they do not have to continue on to find out more about the topic if they did not get off of it.

By doing this, a writer can avoid making a common mistake. However, when a writer does it, they will give out their opinion to the reader at the very end of the essay. This is something that can be avoided, but if not, can make a reader feel as if they are reading an academic article, not a reflection of their own thoughts.

The last common mistake that many writers make is to end their essay on a high note. If the writer does not finish on a high note, it will make the reader feel as if they have read too much about the topic, or that they have spent too much time on a subject.

When writing a reflection, it is not the best idea to make a common mistake. This will give the reader a sense that they have wasted their time with the topic. and did not have to spend enough time researching the topic to write the essay.

Reflective essays need to be researched and written correctly. They need to be researched well enough for the writer to be able to write a good reflection, but they also need to include enough personal opinion on the topic to give the reader the feeling that they have taken time in order to write the essay.

When the writer needs to give out their own personal opinion to the reader, they should not be afraid to do so. A good writer will not hold back because they feel like they are writing on a higher level, they want to be able to say what they feel, but without giving away too much information.

These are just a few mistakes that a writer should avoid when writing a reflective essay. By not doing so, they can leave the reader with a poorly written reflection and will leave them feeling as if they did not really read the essay all that much.
