Reflective writing involves examining oneself from an objective perspective. It is critical to keep in mind that reflecting on the past or present should be done by the reader, not the writer. It is better to analyze a past experience through the words used in the essay rather than by the thoughts and feelings expressed by the writer. This is because a writer’s intentions are more subjective and therefore they may not be as objective as the reader. However, if the writer is not in the position to interpret what the reader is saying, it is best to leave it to the reader to interpret the meaning of the essay.
Another element that helps with reflective essay writing is the introduction. The introduction of the essay is the first part of the essay where the reader comes in to see the main theme or message of the essay. If the essay is not an original creation, it may contain several introductions. However, the introduction should only contain what is needed to get the reader started and it should be relevant to the rest of the essay.
The conclusion of the essay is the last part where the reader should look at the overall conclusion of the essay. The conclusion should state the main point, emphasize the importance of the point, and conclude with a summary of what was discussed in the article. It should state that the main point is not a new discovery and that the conclusion supports the main point by supporting what was stated in the introduction. The conclusion of the essay should not necessarily be the last word; it is usually the conclusion in the same way that an article ends, but it should be different because it is the last statement.
A reflective essay also makes use of the introduction to introduce the ideas in the essay. This can be done in many ways, such as using multiple sentences to present the introduction, including it within the body of the essay, introducing the ideas in one paragraph, and making the introduction the center of attention, or making it a standalone paragraph. The introduction may be used to bring in an idea to the reader and explain its significance and importance and then go on to the conclusion. The introduction should also have the information needed to understand the ideas and give them the focus.
Reflection is useful as it gives one a chance to reflect on a situation that he/she is experiencing or has been through before and is able to write down that experience for future reference. It is also useful because it gives the person the opportunity to see things in another way. By reflecting on his/her experiences, a person is able to write down an article that has more meaning for him/her and therefore, it has a better chance of being read and having a higher quality.
